MARCH 6   

I AM COMFORTED BY THE PROMISES OF GOD   

Blessed be the Lord…there hath not failed one word of his good promises.  I Kings 8:56

The Bible is filled with Divine Promises, revealed through the spiritual intuition of great souls.  We are promised long life and happiness, riches and abundance, health and success.  The Bible contains more promises than any other book ever written and tells us to accept the fact that these promises are not vague, uncertain things.  More particularly it tells us that these promises are fulfilled right now, in the day in which we live.  “Beloved, now are we the sons of God.”  We need not wait to enter into the fulfillment of these promises.  They are eternally given and wait only on our acceptance.  This acceptance is a mental as well as a spiritual act; it is the mind accepting its highest hope in complete confidence, placing its entire reliance on a Power greater than itself.

Today I accept the Divine Promises.  I accept them with the simplicity of a child, with the joy of one who receives his good in grateful acknowledgement of “the all-sustaining beauty.”  I accept Divine guidance watching over me.  I accept the beauty and the peace of this Presence.  I accept happiness and success.  I accept health and wholeness.  I accept love and friendship.  I realize that what rightfully belongs to me as rightfully belongs to everyone else.  Therefore I promise myself and all others to live as though the Kingdom of God were at hand for all people.  I accept a good beyond my fondest imagination, beyond my greatest dream, knowing that this good which I accept will flow through me into complete expression.  He shall give to me even more abundantly that I have asked, for the promises of God are as certain as life, as immutable as law, as personal as the air I breathe.  Today I accept my good.

MARCH 5   

I SHARE THE GIFTS OF GOD   

I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  Revelation 21:6

What a wonderful thought this is, that the very fountain of Life flows open and free; that the gifts of heaven and earth are so bountifully bestowed upon all who receive them.  But there is another thought for us to consider. If God, or Life, has already made the gift, then even God, the Supreme and Perfect One, must wait our acceptance of this gift.  Perhaps we err in that we do not expect to share the gifts of God.  Perhaps we are bound by the thought that we are not yet good enough to accept the gifts of the Kingdom of Good, or that we have not developed spiritually enough to appreciate them.  Too often we feel that these gifts are withheld and so we do not live in an enthusiastic and confident expectation of sharing with the Infinite.  What a wonderful thought this is to actually share with the Infinite in the boundless gifts of Life!

Today I consciously share in the gifts of Life.  I open my whole thought and my whole being to the Divine influx.  I empty myself of everything that denies this good I so fervently desire.  I establish my mind in expectancy, a feeling that all the good there is must belong to everyone who will take it.  I am receiving the Divine gift right now.  I am entering into the spiritual inheritance which Life has willed that every person should possess.  Today I am seeing the gift of Life coming to me from every source, and even as it comes into my outstretched hands, uplifted to receive it, I enjoy the gift and pass it on.  Freely I give everything I have, blessing the gift as it passes through me to others, that it may be multiplied in their experience and in God’s good way come back again to me.

MARCH 4   

I AM FREE WITH THE FREEDOM OF GOD   

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.  Galatians 5:1

We all wish to be free, but at the same time we should realize that liberty is not license.  To say that we are free with the freedom of God does not mean that we are free to do that which contradicts the Divine nature.  We are free only in that freedom which God is – the freedom to be alive, to enjoy living, to enter into the activities of everyday living with enthusiasm and interest.  We are free to love and be loved. We are free to give full and complete expression to every capacity we possess, provided this freedom harms no one and hurts no thing.  This is freedom enough because if we were free to do that which is destructive we should ultimately destroy ourselves.  And, in so doing, we would not only deny but would defame the nature of Divinity itself.  Therefore we always pray, “Thy will be done,” but within this will we know there is scope enough for self-expression – plenty of room to move around and express life to its fullest.

I am free with the freedom of God.  Today I manifest this freedom in joy.  I think of it with deep gratitude to the Giver of all life and with a deep inward sense of my union with the Whole. In my own will and imagination I see myself free, complete and perfect.  I feel back to the center of my being, which is God, and affirm that His freedom is my freedom.  And I include my own physical body in this freedom as well as every activity in which I am engaged.  I expand my consciousness and invite new experiences, knowing that they shall be created for me by the same Power that makes everything.  I enter into this freedom with complete abandonment, with the feeling that all things are working out well, and with the deep and sincere desire to so live that my freedom shall be imparted to others, that we all may feel that we are in partnership with the Infinite.

MARCH 3    

I AM HELD IN THE GOODNESS OF GOD

… and God, even our Father, which hath loved us… comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.  II Thessalonians 2: 16-17

If we assume an all-powerful or infinite Presence and Power back of, within and through everything – as we must – then we should realize that this Power or Presence, which is God, could not possibly operate against Itself without destroying Itself.  We know of no energy in nature that can destroy itself.  This means that the Power back of everything actually is good, or, as Jesus said, “There is none good save one, which is God.”  We need not worry about this or wonder about it or ask questions about it. It is self-evident that goodness alone can endure forever.  Good is a synonym for God.  Good and God mean the same thing. Therefore, the final truth and absolute reality about all things is that God is good.  And since God is the Divine Presence right where we are, good is right where we are and ever available to us.  But we must recognize and claim this good if we are to use it.

Today I know that my good is at hand.  I see this good in persons and places and things.  Nothing but goodness can go from me, and nothing but goodness can return to me.  There is nothing unlike goodness in my experience.  There is nothing but kindness, nothing but generosity.  My whole inner being responds to this goodness, recognizes it everywhere.  Feeling it everywhere, seeing it everywhere, I am enveloped in it.  And even as I draw this goodness to me and become saturated with it, it flows out in every direction, blessing everything it touches, helping everyone, bringing wholeness and happiness to everyone.  “His goodness endureth forever,” and I endure forever.  In joy, then, I awake to every new day; in joy I rest in the eternal goodness, and evermore there is a song in my heart as it overflows with the acknowledgment of good.

MARCH 2   

I AM GUIDED BY THE WISDOM OF GOD   

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom…. But let him that glorieth, glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me.  Jeremiah 9: 23-24

Some universal and infinite Intelligence governs everything, holds everything in place, and directs the course of everything.  The Intelligence that governs the planets in their courses is the same Wisdom that is in the anthill or the beehive; this same Wisdom is in the bird that flies north in summer and south in winter and knows where to find its food.  But that which is blind or instinctive knowing in the animal, should become conscious knowing and will in the human.  In the animal kingdom it works as a blind force; in the human kingdom it works through blind force only in the automatic reactions of nature such as the involuntary functions of the human body.  But the more personal use of it – whether or not we shall call upon the One Mind and Spirit to direct and govern our affairs – this depends upon our personal choice.  This is what freedom and individuality mean.

Today I am guided by the Wisdom of God in everything I do, say or think.  Since there is nothing large or small in the Infinite and Divine Mind, I know that the same Wisdom that governs everything in the universe is brought to bear upon the little things in my personal life. I permit this Wisdom to direct me.  I affirm the presence of this Wisdom and acknowledge Its action in everything in my life.  Therefore I know what to do under every circumstance.  I know how to plan my life and direct my path because I recognize the Infinite Wisdom is doing this for me by doing it through me.  There is no uncertainty nor confusion in my life.  The Divine Spirit always knows what to do; therefore I am never without guidance.  There is one Wisdom, one Intelligence, one Mind.  I live and move and have my being in this One.  My every act, thought and purpose is guided by this Wisdom.

MARCH 1        

I AM STRONG WITH THE POWER OF GOD   

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.  For there is no power but of God:  the powers that are ordained of God. Romans 13:1

The Bible tells us that the powers that be are ordained of God.  And since God exists everywhere, the Power of God is wherever we recognize it – not only all the Presence, but all the Power.  We have no power of ourselves, as though we were separate entities, therefore we say with the Psalmist that our strength cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth.  What we really do is to use a Power greater than we are, which Power is our strength, but we ourselves are not the Power.  Of ourselves we can do nothing, nor of ourselves do we even hold our bodies in place; rather, we rely on the power of gravitational force which operates upon us.  In just manner we are operated upon by spiritual powers which become our strength when we use them. It is in this sense that we are strong with the Power of God, the only Power there is.

My strength cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth.  Recognizing this strength which is perfect, complete and ever-present with me, I have implicit trust and confidence not only in its availability right where I am, but in its action in and through everything I am doing.  There is a Power behind my every thought and word.  There is a Power going before me and preparing my way.  I rest in this Power in calm and serene confidence, with perfect trust and faith.  I know that this Power is good, it is constructive, it is activated by love, it is directed by Divine Intelligence, and I use it even in the simplest things in my life.  Today, then, I accept that all the Power there is belongs to me.  In joy and in gladness I recognize and use this Power.  Therefore, today I am sustained and upheld by It, in peace, in joy and in wholeness.

FEBRUARY 28   

LIFE MOVES ME INTO EVER-INCREASING GOOD TODAY

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.  Psalm 36:9

The universe is pushing us forward.  It does this because it must.  There is no retrogression in God.  Mind is forever evolving new ideas and these ideas are forever urging us on to greater good. Only those who look backward grow feeble.  Their disintegration touches our sympathy, but wisdom tells us to release them to their own stagnation, and catch up with those in the vanguard of advancing souls, who let God work through them.  To the alert, God speaks.  Mind reveals Its ideas and good appears everywhere. The Law of Life is the Law of growth, expansion and increase.  We must accept this, for It has been given unto us freely, and all that It asks is that we follow Its instructions.  As we look ahead and behold the ideas of God unfolding within us and projecting themselves into form through us, we see our increased good.

I move forward in the divine design of my life, and find the future pregnant with good.  The Christ Mind is within me, and I follow Its urges toward a richer and fuller life.  There is no bondage to the past, for today I am free in God to express all His ideas fully.  I see ahead on my pathway with faith, vision and love.  I accept the great and true experience which my God has prepared for me because I love Him, His Mind and His Truth.  The Life of the Spirit within me compels me to move on from the past, do my best in the present, and envision good in the future.  No evil can stop me; no wrong thinking can hold me back, for I know that His plan for me is undefeatable.  I give thanks that Life moves me forward into greater good today.

FEBRUARY 27

THERE IS NO DEATH, AND I WILL NEVER DIE, FOR I AM SPIRIT

How excellent is thy loving kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.  Psalm 36:7

One of the greatest, if not the greatest delusions that pursue the human mind is the idea of death.  Yet, this idea is contrary to all nature and to all reason and logic.  It is inconceivable that a just God would create a temporary man to flourish and then wither.  If God is an eternal, Creative Presence and Mind, the His creation must be equally eternal.  We should constantly deny the possibility of extinction or of a supernatural heaven and hell. God is the life of man, and His idea of life can only include progression, unfoldment and evolution.  If the universe is evolving, then we must be evolving also.  We are consciousness living in Mind, and our bodies are secondary.  At the right time we release our bodies and move on into larger realms of mental experience.  All mourning is self-pity, and all belief in death is contrary to God and God’s idea of man.

Mind is an eternal function of the One Mind, God.  It never started and it will never stop.  I am a spiritual being, born of the Spirit, living as the Spirit, and moving on to larger activities of the Spirit.  There is no belief of death in my consciousness.  I know that I shall always be an individualized expression of God, forever expanding in wisdom and love.  I give thanks for my present world and its vital activities, but I know that I shall always have a similar world with equally similar activities.  I have no fear of change, I trust in God, the Good, to move me forward at the right time and in the right way.  I greet the future with confidence, and I work this day with joy and freedom.

FEBRUARY 26         

WHAT I GIVE TO MY WORLD, I RECEIVE FROM MY WORLD   

Depart from evil, and do good: seek peace, and pursue it.  Psalm 34:14

The universe is not to blame for our success or our failure.  Too often, we use it as our alibi for failing to attain our goals.  The wise have always known that they alone determined their good or their evil.  The universe is a plastic, impersonal substance forever taking form according to the patterns which we give it.  Each of us is what he is because of what he conceives himself to be.  Each of us is where he is because of his general state of consciousness.  Metaphysics without teaching a Law would not be a science.  We are constantly thinking something, and the sum-total of our thinking comprises our mental attitude, our consciousness.  This is what we give to the world and on the basis of what we give, the world responds in return.  Its sole purpose is to respond to us and create forms for us.  Knowing this, we stop our stupidities and hold fast to our right thinking.

I stop blaming the conditions of my world and the people around me for my failure to demonstrate Truth.  I look squarely and frankly at myself, and see that which no other man can ever know about me, my real inner thinking.  To every negative in my consciousness I say “begone.”  You have no part of me.  You never did have and you never will have.  I am a spiritual expression of Life, and I am now determined to offer to my world only that which is true of God and of God’s man.  All else is dissolved and gone.  The Lord is with me, His Mind indwells me, and His Plan for me is now in full action establishing me in peace, success and permanent health.  I co-operate fully with God today.

FEBRUARY 25   

I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR ALL MY MISTAKES   

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.  Psalm 34:8

The Bible stresses the necessity of forgiveness.  This key idea is necessary to a fully developed and well-balanced viewpoint. We cannot go ahead while looking backward.  Those who have offended us are merely the symbols of our own inner mistakes.  They bear witness to the times wherein we have failed to remember God in our fellowman.  The truly spiritual person is never hurt by others, so there is no forgiveness necessary for him.  Only those who are still on the pathway from matter to Mind need to learn how to forgive. The true metaphysician has erased the possibility of seeing evil in his fellowman, and has gone beyond forgiveness into complete spiritual understanding.  We can do this today.  It may not be easy, and it may not be quick, but it can be done if we see God and His Christ in every man we see.  This is the forward look; this is the upward reach.  It lifts us to the very hills of the Lord.

My consciousness is governed and controlled by a Law of Mind.  Through this Law I am able to destroy evil and establish all good.  I now think deeply of all who have hurt, annoyed or confused me. To them I say that I am sorry that I failed to see God in them and around them.  I release freely from my mind all thought against any man.  I behold each one in my world as the son of God, expressing the Truth of Life.  I am forgiven, for I have forgiven my neighbor, and I have found God where I formerly believe error to exist.  I praise and bless the good of all whom I know.  Divine Love in me reaches out and enfolds them in understanding and peace.  I now am at peace with God and man.
