This holiday season UP Church has several opportunities to give big. Here is a list of the ways UP Church is showing up to make life better for others. Choose the activities that best suit the way you like to serve others.

BLANKET DONATION – The Inglewood Unified School District serves 250 homeless families that are in need of blankets to stay warm for the winter. If you would like to donate a new or gently used blanket, please bring it to the UP Church office (600 W. Queen Street, Inglewood, CA) on or before December 7th at 12pm. Rev. Sherri will present the collected blankets to the district at the next school board meeting on December 7th.

SECRET SANTA – We want to make sure that our own children have a great Christmas. On November 20th, all interested adults will pull the name of a single child to buy a gift for. You will be given  a list of potential gifts based on your child’s interests. Gifts will be presented at UP’s Christmas Breakfast on December 10th. If you’d like to be a Secret Santa, please be present Nov 20th to pull a name or please see Rev. Sheree for any children not chosen on the 20th.
HANDMADE HOLIDAY CARDS – This giving opportunity is the perfect activity for all ages. During UP’s Christmas Breakfast, we will make personalized Christmas cards to share with the men and women living in a local Inglewood convalescent home. All card and craft supplies will be provided. Just bring your creativity and you’re all set for this activity. If you’d like to be a part of this giving experience, simply RSVP for UP’s Christmas Breakfast.
SANTA’S HELPERS – Every year the St. Margaret Center hosts a massive Christmas party for over 1,000+ children in need. This activity requires a massive volunteer effort of more than 400+ people. UP Church will supply volunteers to the St. Margaret Center for this incredible holiday event. Volunteers are needed between December 13th – 17th to help sort through the toys for the children, wrap the toys, administer the Christmas party and much more. The times to volunteer vary. If you’d like to be a part of the volunteer team from UP Church, please contact Rev. Sherri in the church office (310.412.7729).
