Many moons ago, during an early Ministry Development Weekend, we established as mission as: Our mission is to express God’s Divine Love through teaching and practicing spiritual principles, worship services, soulful music, fellowship activities, and community outreach.
In my estimation, we’ve been fulfilling the first four: teaching and practicing spiritual principle, worship services, soulful music and fellowship activities. But since the Pandemic, we have not done must community outreach.
Our current Board President Robyn McKoy presented an idea for how we can begin to fulfill this part of our mission. It’s simple and easy. Each quarter, we will select a non-profit to support. We will raise money for the quarter and then present the donation to the organization.
We received so many people suggestions and have a plan to support them all. However, one organization stood out the most to the Board and we’ve selected it as the first organization that we will support. That organization is Teach Tech Charter High School.
Help us support Teach Tech Charter High School’s Drama Department, a new
program bringing theatre to students for the first time! They need costumes,
production facilities, and opportunities to connect with the Los Angeles
entertainment industry.
Through our outreach, we’re sponsoring a field trip to Warner Brothers Studios
with lunch, partnering with After School Allstars to provide transportation. Your
donation will directly support this experience and help build a lasting theatre
program.
To give, donate as you normally do to the church, selecting Community Service in
the dropdown menu or adding it in the memo section. You can also use the QR code on the featured image. Thank you for making a
difference!
